COVID-19 UPDATE

COVID-19 UPDATE

Covid-19 is yet to evolve as a pandemic but it may impact on localised areas within Ireland and on individual schools in particular. In recognition of our long association with bus and coach operators for over 40 years we are allowing suspension credits for unforeseen closures of any duration that may occur as a result of Covid-19 provided it is officially closed by Government or any of its agents, for example, the Department of Education & Skills or the HSE.

As the normal contract of insurance only allows suspension credits for in excess of 30 consecutive days we are making this exception should Covid-19 become an issue in your area and if your school is closed by order by any of the agencies above for any period. We will credit the next renewal of your bus and coach motor insurance policy with this suspension amount. You must advise us in writing by email to insure@jfd.ie and detail the vehicle you wish to suspend insurance on. Upon receipt of your instructions we will suspend the insurance on that vehicle until the date you advise us that the school is to officially reopen.  You must remove the insurance disc from this vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is not unwittingly used on any other service.

Please look after yourself and family by following the directions of the HSE on its offical website(click here) and through their guidelines provided below.

With best regards,
