UPDATE COVID-19 12/03/2020
Now that Covid-19 has been declared a pandemic and the government has announced the closure of all colleges, schools and childcare facilities, J.F.Dunne Insurances will close it's reception to all visitors, from 5pm 12/03/2020, as a part of our business continuity planning. To make contact with us our phone lines will remain open from 9am to 5pm (closed for lunch 1-2pm) and by email, 24 hours a day, to insure@jfd.ie.
In recognition of our long association with bus and coach operators for over 40 years we are allowing suspension for these notified closures of the education system by Government, whether it is for 10, 20 or 40 days. As the normal contract of insurance only allows suspension credits for in excess of 30 consecutive days we are making this exception and we will credit the next renewal of your bus and coach motor insurance policy with the suspension amount generated over this school closure period. You must advise us in writing by email to insure@jfd.ie and detail the vehicle you wish to suspend insurance on. Upon receipt of your instructions we will suspend the insurance on that vehicle until the date you advise us that the school is to officially reopen. You must remove the insurance disc from this vehicle to ensure that the vehicle is not unwittingly used on any other service.
